All my sons
All My Sons, by Arthur Miller, is a play set during the second world war and is about a successful businessman, Joe Keller, who has failed to fulfil his social obligations and has difficulties to recognise the role of society after he is blinded by lust for money during the war. A contemporary tragedy that focuses on a family with a blurred past that threatens the future.
The scenography covers the entire stage, creating a side of a multilayered monumental building which was successfully used by the director Yiannis Moschos to imply the foundations of the American Puritan society and to expose the Keller family to the audience. In the main dramatic thresholds where the characters hide the truth, the actors are to be revealed in fragments through the discontinuities of the set; the openings of the building, a spatial interpretation of the character’s delusional reality.
All the internal fermentations of the characters are been revealing from the beginning until the end of the drama, with successive outbursts and color escalations in the gray-cream scenography.
